Mr Aslam is a Consultant Orthopaedic Robotic Hip and Knee SMART Surgeon with a specialist interest in Sports Injuries at Spire South Bank Hospital, in Worcester and the Worcestershire Royal Hospital NHS Trust in Worcester. He also undertakes NHS clinics in Kidderminster, Tenbury Wells and Malvern. He completed his specialist orthopaedic training at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, which is a world-renowned centre of excellence. He has extensive experience in all aspects of knee and hip surgery including arthroplasty, arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction work. His main interest includes primary and revision arthroplasty of the knee and hip.

The National Joint Registry (NJR) covers England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and Guernsey. It continues to be the largest orthopaedic registry in the world, with an international reputation with around 3.7 million procedures recorded to date. NJR collects information on hip, knee, ankle, elbow and shoulder joint replacement surgery and they monitor the performance of joint replacement implants. The National Joint Registry records, monitors, analyses and reports on performance outcomes in joint replacement surgery in a continuous drive to improve service quality and enable research analysis to ultimately improve patient outcomes. This will improve knowledge and procedure outcomes for the benefit of generations of future patients.
